The T1V Training series is designed to provide the T1V community with guided tools to enhance their user experience.
Use this series of videos and step-by-step instructions to learn how to utilize different features in our collaboration software - from our flagship collaboration product, ThinkHub, to the T1V App AirConnect - which enables both in-room and remote meeting participants to connect to any Hub product.
Keep reading or watch the video for more information on how to use ThinkHub’s built-in apps with AirConnect.
Once you have joined a ThinkHub session with the T1V App AirConnect, you are ready to start adding content to your ThinkHub Canvas.
You can find the built-in apps on either side of the ThinkHub Canvas Tray, at the bottom corners of the Canvas.
The built-in apps within ThinkHub are:
- Web Browser
- Note
- Sketch
- Group
You can open any of these apps, or open multiple apps, with a single click or drag and drop to the Canvas. Move the content around by selecting and dragging the objects. Resize any content by hovering over the piece of content and pinching and zooming.
Click once on a piece of content - like a Browser, Note, or Sketch - to open the active state mode. When an app is in an active state, you have access to the app window tools, and can manipulate the content inside that specific window.
Within a Web Browser, you can search by either typing with your personal device (like a laptop or mobile phone) or use the built-in keyboard in ThinkHub. Navigate your live website of choice.
To use the drawing tools, keep the same window in an active state, and select the art palette icon next to the hand icon.
Choose a pen size and color and annotate on the Web Browser. Use the eraser to erase any annotations.
Next to the palette icon, there is a camera icon for snapshots. Here, you can take a ‘snapshot’ of the built-in Web Browser app on your Canvas, which creates an image file of the content window. This allows you to still work from the live website window, but now you have an image copy of the live browser to work on as well. This is useful for adding annotations or comments to certain areas of web sites for the team to review.
After the camera icon is a full-screen icon. Tap this icon to take the single app window full-screen, which fills the entire view of the ThinkHub Canvas, both in-room and remotely. Here, you’ll still have your AirConnect tools around the edge of the AirConnect window.
If you’re operating in AirConnect and would like to maximize even more space on your screen, you can select the ‘Maximize’ icon in the top right hand corner of your screen.
This will minimize the AirConnect tools and make the app window as big as possible on your device.
To get out of full-screen mode, simply select the same icon that you did to get into full-screen mode.
The second to last icon in your active state window is a pin, like an old fashioned push pin. By selecting this icon, you are pinning the specific piece of content to that area of the Canvas.
Once the content is pinned, you can move different content to different areas of the Canvas, but anything that is pinned in place will remain in that spot on the Canvas. To unpin, you simply unselect that icon.
You also have the option to email or duplicate the piece of content in the built-in app window. For example, the duplicate option will reopen the same webpage in a new browser window.
The small bar on the right side of the app will expand your view - so you can make the window smaller or larger. (Don’t forget to enlarge or decrease the size of the whole object, you can hover over and pinch and zoom - the window will maintain its aspect ratio.) If you’d like to expand the window and make it wider or shorter, use the two-arrowed icon on the bottom right side of the app window.
Up top, you have the option to send to different Groups.
Grouping is a great way to organize your content. Anything that is in a Group can easily move across the Canvas together.
To add a piece of content to a Group, you can do so by using the drop down arrow on the top right of your app window and choosing the Group you prefer.
Additionally, you always have the option in a Web Browser to navigate back to the webpage you were previously on using with the back arrow. Just like a usual web browser, feel free to refresh your page at any time.
To get out of the active state of your built-in app window, select the caret icon right above the hand icon - that will remove the active state and put the content in a passive state, so you can move around the Canvas or pinch and zoom to resize.
Lastly, all built-in app content windows have an ‘x’ icon in the top, right-hand corner - which by selecting, will delete that content from the ThinkHub Canvas.
