Active learning solutions for hybrid classrooms can often be confusing and complicated.
Our T1V in 3 video series breaks down T1V’s easy-to-use solutions - so that you can be clear on how our collaboration technology can best support your specific needs.
The latest T1V in 3 video highlights ThinkHub Education active learning technology. With this active learning ecosystem, hardware and software work together seamlessly to power the hybrid classroom.
Check out the video or keep reading as T1V Application Engineer Molly Garrett demos the difference between casting and docking with ThinkHub.
Molly explains that ThinkHub Education consists of one main Instructor Station at the front of the classroom and Student Stations spread out across the classroom.
ThinkHub allows an instructor to cast all types of content from the Instructor Station display out to the Student Station screens throughout the classroom.
For example, Instructors can cast the entire ThinkHub Canvas - housing PDFs, presentations, images, video files and more - out to the Student Stations, so students can see the educational content up close on their Student Station displays.
Instructors can also cast a specific piece of content, like a single PowerPoint slide or Quizlet web browser to the Student Stations.
Instructors have the ability to switch back and forth between individual content and the ThinkHub Canvas at any time.
What’s more, in-room and remote students can access the content and ThinkHub Canvas on their personal devices like laptops and tablets through the T1V app - no matter where they are, from any wireless network in the world.
With ThinkHub Dock, there is a second display - or perhaps multiple displays located on other walls throughout the classroom - that Instructors can pin the ThinkHub Canvas or additional individual content to.
Casting and docking essentially function the same way, but give Instructors different ways to share content to students, so that more content can be shared at the same time. To put it in simple terms, consider your ThinkHub Dock the place to ‘park’ content around the room on ancillary displays, while casting broadcasts content to student stations.
Imagine you’re in a classroom, and the Instructor has the interactive ThinkHub Canvas mirrored from the Instructor Station to Docks around the room...and has an individual piece of content, like a presentation, casted to all Student Stations.
This increases visibility around the room for different types of content - all working in tandem to enhance the educational experience for every student.
