Project Overview
The Edge of Advancement building represents Des Moines University's commitment to training skilled and empathetic health care professionals. This 'gateway to campus' buzzes with activity in versatile learning studios and collaborative areas for classes, small groups, and community gatherings. The open learning commons on the first and second floors are crafted to enhance academic study, encourage discussions, and link faculty and students across various programs.
As you enter the Edge of Advancement building, you will immediately encounter DMU’s interactive wall, powered by T1V Story. Explore the wall to engage with the university’s history and significant achievements.

The Solution
DMU had a visionary plan to construct The Edge of Advancement building, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the education and training of future healthcare professionals. This building was meticulously designed to act as the main entrance and the initial point of contact for visitors to the campus, aiming to create a powerful and memorable first impression.
Upon entering The Edge of Advancement, visitors are welcomed by an innovative interactive wall, which is powered by the advanced T1V Story technology. This digital wall offers an immersive experience, allowing individuals to dig into the rich history of the university and explore its significant milestones. It highlights the remarkable accomplishments of alumni, as well as the contributions of donors, through engaging interactive biographies and visually captivating galleries.
This approach provides a dynamic and engaging way to tell the university's story, offering information to visitors and engaging newcomers with an interactive storytelling journey that enhances their connection to the campus.
Here's a breakdown of DMU's T1V Story Video Wall setup:
-
(2) 49" LCD touch displays powered by T1V Story software
-
(2) 1x4 LCD video walls (non-touch) controlled by the 49" touch displays
-
T1V Story software, featuring T1V Interactive Timeline and Interactive Showcase
By merging the capabilities of touch and non-touch display technology, DMU successfully enhanced the impressive impact of T1V Story, allowing it to extend throughout the entire entrance of The Edge of Advancement building. The digital screens are also combined with static graphics printed on the walls, creating a harmonious blend of digital and physical branded elements within the space.
Although the physical components will remain unchanged, T1V Story offers DMU a method to continually refresh its timeline with updated content and present new material over time. The team has crafted a stunning space that can remain relevant for years to come.
