Have you watched our T1V in 3 video series lately? This T1V in 3 covers a standout feature of ThinkHub visual collaboration software that maximizes both convenience and data security...
Integrate up to 32 hardine inputs* with your in-room ThinkHub device. Josh Strecker, one of T1V’s Territory Managers, breaks this process down for us.
So how do hardline inputs work with ThinkHub and what are the benefits for spaces that want an extra layer of data security?
Add virtually anything with an HDMI feed as a direct connection to ThinkHub — and because it enables users to access devices right to the ThinkHub with no network required, it adds an instant layer of extra data protection. This is particularly valuable in sensitive command and control environments where data security is paramount.
There are endless types of hardline input device connections to support a variety of meeting, project, and command and control scenarios. Here are a few examples:
- Video conferencing and IP cameras
- Real-time dashboards and monitoring feeds
- Cable box broadcasting a live news feed
- Apple TV for a live stream
- Personal laptop or designated in-room PC
When connecting a personal device like a laptop, tablet, and more — as a hardline input with ThinkHub, you can visualize the feed from that device (for example, a PowerPoint presentation on a laptop) — on the ThinkHub Canvas while maintaining an air-gapped separation from the network.
The presenter can actually interact with the content on that laptop right from the Canvas with T1V TouchControl™ reducing the need to pass around devices.
Simply activate the presentation window on the Canvas. Start the slideshow, scroll through different slides, and manipulate the content on the display — without having to be tethered to the personal device in the room.
Using ThinkHub with hardline inputs gives collaborators the ability to engage with more types of content in different ways. Share file-based content like multi-page PDFs and images, or web-based content like web browsers and online platform dashboards, all without being on a network and risking data exposure.
This ability for advanced content sharing with hardline inputs improves the interactive visualization and collaboration experience for meeting participants, whether they are joining a ThinkHub in-room or remotely — while maintaining robust data security, especially in command and control spaces like NOCs, SOC, War Rooms, and more.
The use of air-gapped hardline inputs is an emerging trend in data security for collaboration spaces, allowing teams to share and interact with sensitive information and feeds without network exposure. ThinkHub is at the forefront of this trend.
