T1V’s HubVC is highlighted in The Exclusive Best UCC Webinar Ever, where rAVe Pubs’ Gary Kayye and Avocor’s Dana Corey discuss the latest UCC trends - from displays and cameras to collaboration software and RBM (room-based meeting) vs BYOM (bring your own meeting).
Dana Corey, Avocor’s Senior VP and GM of Sales, speaks to how T1V stands out in UCC video collaboration software “Looking at collaboration by T1V, [they] are providing platforms that address the meeting room walkup as well as more advanced collaboration for agile workforces, brainstorming, and marketing.”
Gary Kayye continues, “You have the ability now to not make that room dedicated to one single UCC collaboration system. You can have that room be all of the above including, Zoom, Webex, and Teams.” And more - Gary classifies T1V products - both ThinkHub and HubVC - as “Unification Collaboration Software UX”. HubVC allows you to use whichever VC app you would like. “T1V has a single touch entry point, so you have an interface that has the Zoom, Teams, or the Webex logo - you click the one you want and it takes you right in that platform.” In terms of RBM vs. BYOM, HubVC is a RBM solution. Organizations struggling to decide which VC platform to standardize on no longer need to choose just one video conferencing solution - they can have it all in one place with HubVC’s flexible approach to serving multiple VC platforms within a single, unified user experience.
BYOM allows users to host their own VC software from their own device. However, it does have its downsides. The host may be the expert on the VC software, however they must be familiar with which camera and speakers / display to run the meeting through within their VC app. What’s more, their device will then be dedicated to running the meeting, meaning they aren’t free to take notes or reference their email without the rest of the participants seeing.
The RBM vs. BYOM debate continues on...
