InfoComm is just around the corner!
Not only are we excited to re-engage and reconnect with the pro AV industry in Orlando, T1V is thrilled to partner with T1V Customer Jodie Penrod, Senior Director of Technology at Ohio University’s Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (HCOM).
At InfoComm, Jodie will highlight the role of technology in hybrid active learning classrooms, walking participants through the catalyst for change at HCOM as well as the current state of technology at the University. In addition to her talk, she’ll also be participating in a panel discussion on learning spaces of the future.
Here are the InfoComm 2021 Sessions where you can hear:

On the InfoComm Sneak Peek, which aired September 23 and featured technology leaders involved with the “hottest technology” at InfoComm, Jodie joined a panel discussion about the Classroom of the Future. The panel answered questions like:
- What does the classroom of the future look like?
- What types of technology do hybrid classrooms need to succeed?
- What are the best ways to evaluate pro AV gear for future-proof classrooms?
Jodie shared a bit about the multi-campus team based learning that drives HCOM curriculum, and how to provide accessibility for collaboration in education.
At Ohio University, ThinkHub Education powers active learning classrooms across three different HCOM campuses.
When asked how the pandemic affected technology within higher education, Jodie is laser focused on innovation.
She explained, “Our role as technologists is changing because of the way life is changing. Not only are we here to support technology in education, but we are fully ingrained in improving the education experience holistically.”
This holds true at T1V - where we are constantly working to improve user experience for instructors and students - whether they are on campus or joining a class remotely.
