San Francisco Public Library opened The Mix - a digital media space dedicated exclusively to teens in the Bay Area. The Mix features a T1V Interactive Wall running ThinkHub™. ThinkHub is T1V's BYOD (bring your own device) collaboration software designed to help teams to ideate, visualize, and problem solve. ThinkHub supports laptops and mobile devices across Mac, Windows, and Android platforms - meaning teens can connect any device to the ThinkHub Canvas for real-time screen sharing and collaboration.

What’s more, it was important that the SFPL provide ADA-compliant technology to the public. For this reason, T1V’s ThinkHub includes voice controls for the visually-impaired. This capability makes ThinkHub one of the most inclusive technology offerings on the market. This option is built into the software and available for all public spaces who seek to provide ADA-compliant solutions for its audience.
The Mix staff knew that they wanted an audio studio, video studio, makerspace, flexible meeting areas, performance space, as well as a staff office. The staff relied heavily on teens to design the look and feel of these spaces collectively - resulting in an open feel that is inviting yet provides unique spaces that serve groups and individuals equally.
The Mix’s ThinkHub solution is running on a 55” touch film interactive transparent display. ThinkHub can scale to any size interactive display - whether it’s a single panel or multipanel configuration - and can operate on traditional or transparent touchscreens.

The ThinkHub Canvas expands toup to 20 times the surface area of the physical touchscreen, and features several built-in applications including Notes, Sketches, and Web Browser. What’s more, users can share media files (images, videos, PDFs, and presentations) by simply plugging in a USB thumb drive. Once devices and media are shared to the Canvas, users can access the media with touch gestures and annotate / share / email the Canvas when they are done with the ThinkHub session.
