Extra! Extra! T1Visions is featured in The Charlotte Observer's ShopTalk section this fine February morning!
ShopTalk columnist Jonathan McFadden took the time to speak with T1Visions Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Dave Aichele, on how we were able to 'land' Neiman Marcus as a client this past year. Just recently we announced our partnership with Neiman Marcus and the deployment of our interactive retail tables in the luxury retailer's stores. The partnership has generated a lot of positive buzz about our company and the technology we are creating for the retail market.
Through their conversation, Jonathan and Dave boiled our partnership with Neiman Marcus into four key steps:
Step 1: Finding the right market
We launched our first products in the hospitality and education markets, but have since expanded our reach to retail. It's a place we've found we can re-capture sales for those customers who do not immediately find what they are looking for in the retail store. Our proprietary software application, OneShop™, unlocks retailers' entire product catalog, creating a digital showroom where associates can share products available both in-store and out-of-store.
Step 2: Attending the right tradeshow
NRF, NRF, NRF. We've identified that tradeshows are one of our most effective marketing channels, and NRF is the type of show that exposes us to top retail brands, such as Neiman Marcus.
Step 3: Keeping promises
"Under promise, over deliver" has become our unofficial mantra here at T1V (credit to our Vice President of Operations, Loré Hunsicker, for instiling this sound piece of advice in our entire team). Simply put, "we told them we could hit the dates, and we did...," says Dave Aichele.
Step 4: Being discreet
While Neiman Marcus is one of our most exciting partnerships in retail, it is not the only one. We are extremely sensitive to the fact that not everyone is ready and willing to discuss the steps they are taking to integrate new and emerging technologies in their greater omnichannel strategy. We respect our customers' privacy and offer them our discretion in working with them.
