ThinkHub Groups™ is a powerful, built-in feature set that was recently announced as part of our ThinkHub 4.5 release. ThinkHub Groups is available to all ThinkHub users, and is now included as part of standard ThinkHub. In this blog, we’ll take a deep dive into how you can use this tool in your ThinkHub sessions.
ThinkHub Groups allow you to group content on the ThinkHub Canvas and can include Notes, Sketches, images, videos, browsers, PDFs, or any other piece of content shared to the Canvas.
To start, tap the Group icon in the App tray.
Use built-in sorting and display options in the Group Menu to better visualize and organize content.
- The Info Tab is the place where you can enter text to describe what the Group includes.
- The Arrange Tab allows you to switch grid alignment on and off and change your column count.
- The Advanced Tab lets you to apply an auto theme, auto add on dropping content to the Canvas, and lock an item size. In the Advanced Tab there are also theme controls where you can change the look and feel of all of the items in the Group.
This ability to apply themes to your Group is another useful feature of ThinkHub Groups. With a theme, you can change the background and the text of items in a Group. You are able to reorganize the order of the items by referencing the number in the upper right hand corner of each object in the Group.
The Group Legend now available in the Menu allows you to jump to different Groups on the Canvas. You are able to search for Group content within the dedicated Group search bar. You can also just tap on Groups to quickly bounce around the Canvas directly to the Group of your choosing.
If you search for Group content within the search bar, results are highlighted on the Canvas as you type. Non-results are faded, making it easy to see your search results.
Additionally, there is the option to center and/or create a new Group based on keyword search results.
For remote participants using AirConnect, you can now assign your Notes to a Group when sending Notes to the Canvas. Select the Group from the dropdown menu that will appear on the top right corner of the Notes window.
ThinkHub Groups builds in more tools to help you better organize your content, quickly visualize the big picture and get to the places that you need to be on the Canvas even more efficiently than before.
