Virtual ThinkHub (ThinkHub Cloud Access) is a cloud-based ThinkHub designed to give users the ability to host ThinkHub sessions in the cloud. Running on a dedicated ThinkHub appliance, Virtual ThinkHub can be hosted by the enterprise (locally) or T1V (off-site). Virtual ThinkHub has the same capabilities as ThinkHub, but is entirely virtual - there is no physical touch screen required.
Virtual ThinkHub can support entirely remote teams. Using ThinkHub Scheduling, anyone can book and share a Virtual ThinkHub session. And compared to ThinkHub on a physical touch screen, Virtual ThinkHub is a completely SaaS model - for a low monthly subscription cost, teams have access to ThinkHub’s full collaboration feature set, without the need to dedicate a room to the experience.
BACKGROUND
Virtual ThinkHub was a customer-requested capability, designed to help organizations provide a collaboration tool for teams when their existing ThinkHub rooms were overbooked. Additionally, ThinkHub users would be scrambling to prepare content in advance of classes or big meetings, where they wanted more prep time with the Canvas than the room calendar could allow.
To alleviate this scheduling and preparation problem, T1V created the Virtual ThinkHub tool so teams could book the virtual ThinkHub room just as if they were booking a physical meeting room. With Virtual ThinkHub, users are able to login and collaborate on ThinkHub from their individual devices using the AirConnect mobile app.
Meeting or class leaders can use Virtual ThinkHub to prepare their ThinkHub sessions in advance. Using their AirConnect application, users login to the Virtual ThinkHub, create a session, and layout the session with their content. They can then download the session file (.t1vx) to their device, and upload to the in-room ThinkHub whenever their meeting or class begins. This gives leaders the time to work through their presentations in advance and from the convenience of their device.
