T1V’s deployment of ThinkHub MultiSite technology at the Lawrence J. Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine of USC turns the stunning, modern building into a collaboration powerhouse.
The Ellison Institute’s new building, completed in June 2020 in the heart of Los Angeles, California, houses 25 ThinkHub units showcased on displays ranging from single panel touchscreens (65”, 75”, and 85”) to a large, 4x4 ThinkHub LED video wall.
Throughout the building, ThinkHub interactive collaboration software brings together hybrid teams of in-room and remote physicists, biologists, mathematicians and engineering professionals across assorted health and wellness fields, all to study interdisciplinary research focused on the prevention and treatment of cancer.
Here are just a few of the ways ThinkHub is powering the study of medicine at USC.
Poster Presentations
Presentations are easy to show and tell with ThinkHub’s full-screen mode - with a single tap, see presentations on screen, virtually - whether your audience is on-premise or participating in virtual meeting, event, or conference, like the Biomedical Engineering Society National Meeting.
Participants can join the presentation using your choice of video conferencing integration with ThinkHub, including BlueJeans, Webex, MS Teams, or Zoom. Present active content with ThinkHub’s advanced content sharing capabilities - like PowerPoint slides with O365, or Google Workspace applications like Good Slides. Or, if you prefer, a multi-page PDF presentation.
Quick access to annotation in the Canvas Tools allows presenters to markup a presentation for in-room and virtual attendees.
Data Visualization Lab
The Ellison Institute’s state-of-the-art 4x4 LED video wall runs ThinkHub in its impressive Data Visualization Lab. Here, scientists can visualize massive pieces of content and data in stunning resolution all on one, interactive platform.
The scientists in the room are able to touch and manipulate the content in-person, or those participating remotely can access the ThinkHub through T1V’s companion app, AirConnect. What’s more, other ThinkHubs throughout the building can directly connect to the Data Visualization Lab’s working session to truly collaborate in real-time with ThinkHub MultiSite.
