In our latest video in the T1V in 3 video series (where we explain topics on collaboration and technology in three minutes or less), T1V Application Engineer Molly Garrett demos ThinkHub Connect MultiSite.
With ThinkHub Connect MultiSite, instructors and students can be in classrooms across multiple locations - whether that is on the same campus in a different classroom, or being connected over multiple campuses.
Wherever the student is learning from, they can connect to that Instructor Station Hub via the T1V App - the wireless companion app that allows students to join a session through their laptops, tablets, or any other mobile device.
ThinkHub Connect MultiSite allows an instructor to connect up to 10 campuses together through one interactive Canvas - which enables them to teach a lecture or classroom session to disparate students at the same time.
The Instructor Station ThinkHub Canvas houses all things content - class presentations via slides, Google Workspace or Office 365 shared files, image files, PDFs, Notes, and Sketches - absolutely everything an instructor needs for an engaging, active learning experience. This advanced content sharing platform allows all users to share unlimited file-based content and web-based content, taking hybrid teaching and learning to the next level.
ThinkHub Connect enables instructors to cast content - for example, that PowerPoint presentation slide deck for a class - out to all Student Stations, so students can visualize content up close, from wherever they are. The instructor can tap through a slide presentation, annotate content, and more…
Change the focus of the class by switching the cast between multiple pieces of content - like casting last night’s homework problems in PDF format, after presenting today’s slides.
Another huge benefit of ThinkHub Connect MultiSite is that instructors can see the content that student groups are working on from every connected classroom - even if the instructor is not physically present in that room.
The instructor can view all Student Station Hubs on his or her Instructor Station Canvas. The content on the student Hubs could be whatever each group is doing in the moment - students can share up to four devices at a time, and can connect any smart device to their shared Hub. This can be live content, shared homework problems, or web-based applications like O365 or Google Workspace - you name it.
Not only can the instructor see this content, they can actually cast one student group’s Hub out to the other student Hubs - so that work from a particular student group is visible to the entire class at one time.
Take turns casting different groups’ work, or cast the entire Instructor Station Canvas out all of to the Student Station Hubs. With a quick tap from the instructor, students can view all of the content on the main Instructor Canvas at once - even as the instructor continues to work, interact, and move with the Canvas.
